Let's Weave a Tartan

Kids Coloring Pages

The fabric of Scotland's heritage is the most colorful of its traditions.  These coloring pages show how tartan was once produced in the Highlands.  Using wool from the small local sheep and plants from the surrounding country-side, the Highlanders produced a cloth that was -- and still is today -- a unique part of their way of life.

Please feel free to download, print, color and enjoy these pages -- for children of all ages!

Line drawings by Ruairidh MacLeod, from original color paintings by Jenny Richardson.
