The Friends of the Scottish Tartans Museum is an independant support organization dedicated to promoting and assisting the Scottish Tartans Museum and its mission.  Members of the Friends organization lend their talents to the Scottish Tartans Museum in many and varied ways, and engage in other educational and social activities which enrich the Scottish heritage of our area.

Friends members can be found serving as tour guides in the museum, speaking in area schools, representing the museum at Highland Games and Scottish festivals, and participating in Franklin town events such as Mountain Heritage Day, Pumpkin Fest, Window Wonderland, and various other parades.

The Friends of the Scottish Tartans Museum also host an annual Robert Burns Dinner in January and help plan and organize Franklin's annual "Taste of Scotland" street festival each June.

Friends members meet in monthly planning meetings to organize these and many other programs.
