Measuring Instructions and Size Charts
The following three measurements are needed to build your kilt:

1)Waist - Natural _________________________________________
                 8 on the diagram, snug over a shirt or a pair of trousers
(This is your natural waist, the narrow part above your hipbone.  Most men wear their trousers around their hips and not at their natural waist.  If you take this measurement at your hips your kilt will fit incorrectly.)

2) Natural Waist to Base of Kilt____________________________
                 9 on the diagram (Natural waist to base of Kilt)
(Two inches will be added to this to allow for the rise of the kilt.  If this measurement is 23", your kilt will be made 25" in total length.  The kilt is normally worn with the bottom reaching the middle of the knee cap.  Often measured to 1" above the ground when kneeling erect. Some prefer a shorter kilt, rising above the kneecap.  Please use the guide below for general lengths.  Not all men are built the same, so not all men will correspond to this guide.  However, if your measurement varies too greatly from the norm, you may wish to retake the measurement.)

3) Seat__________________________________________________
                10 on the diagram. Measure at broadest position (loose over trousers or skirt)
