I am very interested in becoming a member of the Scottish Tartan Society. I am a handweaver with several years of experience and have gotten heavily into the tartan weaving due to my own scottish heritage. I feel that membership would greatly enhance my knowledge of the history and making of tartan material, as well as being able to provide the public with information about the society and registration of new, unique tartans. I have regulary attended events over the past couple decades such as the Longs' Peak Scottish/Irish Highland Festival, Estes Park, CO and the newly formed Black Hills Highland Festival in Sturgis, SD.
I was given the name of Donald Boney as a membership secretary, but have still not received any information. He told me on the telephone that he didn't have any of the new information, but would forward my name to someone that would. I am eagerly awaiting any information.
I am also an Internet Web Designer and will have an online weaving studio set up within a few months.
